Coronavirus – Meetings Cancelled

This workshop is about constructing PANELS, which you can think of as sets of images which work together as a coherent whole. Steve Boyle has a wealth of experience with the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and its approach to panels. He will do a short presentation, along with some other club members, on what constitutes a panel and what makes it work.

The second half of the evening is about your images. You are invited to bring along your favourite images to talk about them and to see if you can construct a panel or two from them. If you came to the Welcome Evening in September then this is an opportunity to bring a new set of your favourite images. Alternatively you may want to bring some images you want some feedback on. This second half activity is really only possible with PRINTS. They don’t have to be great quality prints – just good enough to get an idea of which images work together. The aim is for you to build panels of 3 to 5 images – so please bring a few more than that to provide a good choice.

Places to get images printed: Asda, Boots, Tesco, Colourstream in St. James’s Street and Colourfast in Cheltenham Place. The workshop will be followed up in April by a critique on the theme of Panels.
