This workshop is the last one of the 2020-21 season and it’s over to our NMG members for this ‘last hurrah’.
One year on
This is your opportunity to share your images from 2020-21 with the group. It’s a chance to put into practice what you’ve learned from the NMG workshops – Abstract photography, Taking risks and Post-processing – as well as from other Thursday workshops. You may also have been inspired by a Tuesday lecture or by looking at other people’s images. So, we’d like you to think back through the year and submit up to 3 images in advance, picking up on some of the things you’ve learned. You’ll then have the chance to talk through your images on the evening.
This is me
As a little extra final challenge, we’re also ask you send in one extra image entitled “This is me”. This image should be a self-portrait using a non-conventional approach. How could you create an image that projects, represents, sums up who you are without you physically being in the picture?
Please submit all your images to Jo by 22nd April (see below).
Preparing your images
Save them as high-res JPG files.
For size, please follow the dimensions recommended for the Club’s main competitions: the maximum width is 1920 pixels and the maximum height is 1080 pixels; the minimum height and depth is 900 pixels; the maximum file size is 2MB.
If you don’t understand the Club sizing or don’t have the software to resize your image then send Jo a high-res JPG and she’ll do the rest.
Submitting your images
Email them as attachments to Jo (log in for email address) before midnight on Thursday 22nd April. Put the titles of the images and your name in the email and make sure that the file names match the titles as much as possible.
Jo will reply to you on receipt of an image – so if you don’t get a reply it means it hasn’t arrived.
NB This is not a critique evening. It’s all about giving everyone a chance to participate and to chip in with their comments.
