Chris Harrison’s first encounter with photography was in 1987. He was 16 years old and he saw Elliot Erwitt’s photo, ‘Great Dane Legs, Boots and Chihuahua’, in a magazine. So many questions…

Chris spent 4 years at art college studying graphic design and photography, often bunking off design lectures to go and spend extra time in the dark room printing up my work. After art college he landed a job at the world’s biggest advertising agency, Saatchi & Saatchi.

Throughout the 90s Chris did lots of his own small photographic projects. However, for about 15 years from 2001 onwards Chris did very little photography for himself. That all changed in 2016 during a family camping holiday in France which was, by chance, a short distance away from Arles…
