Mark McColl is a landscape photographer based in Scotland.

His interest in photography stems back to childhood, using slide film on an entirely manual Russian camera. It was big, heavy and almost indestructible. That was all my teenage budget could afford!

Mark’s background is in the medical profession, with over 30 years experience as an NHS hospital Doctor. Photography has been a passion of his since Mark was a boy, and it has been a wonderful diversion, keeping him sane through my medical career. Mark is lucky to live in Scotland, one of the most beautiful countries in the world, and It is perhaps not surprising that many of the images have been captured within a few hours of home.
