My Adopted Family – Exhibition by Jo Teasdale
Fri 6th Aug - Sun 15th Aug
Jo comes from a Fine Art background and has been a member of BHCC for 9 years. She is an eclectic photographer who enjoys the immediacy of Street Photography and a slower more conceptual approach to her fine art projects. Her work is an artistic form of self-expression, often poignant and edgy, often unveiling elements of our human nature. ‘My Adopted Family’ is her first major body of work, since being awarded her Fellowship from the RPS in 2016 for ‘The Factory’. Now, Jo is delighted to announce her first solo exhibition, here in Brighton.
‘My Adopted Family’ explores the concepts of family, memories and inheritance. Using cherished possessions collected over time. Jo has created her own family history and personal narrative and invites the viewer to travel through time and participate in the stories that unfold around them.
