Jo comes from a Fine Art background and has been a member of BHCC for 8 years. She is an eclectic photographer who enjoys the immediacy of Street Photography and a slower more conceptual approach to her fine art projects. Her work is an artistic form of self-expression, often poignant and edgy, often unveiling elements of our human nature. ‘My Adopted Family’ is her first major body of work, since being awarded her Fellowship from the RPS in 2016 for ‘The Factory’. Now, Jo is delighted to announce her first solo exhibition, here in Brighton.

‘My Adopted Family’ explores the concepts of family, memories and inheritance. Using cherished possessions collected over time. Jo has created her own family history and personal narrative and invites the viewer to travel through time and participate in the stories that unfold around them.

Jo would be delighted to welcome you to her exhibition at ONCA Gallery, 14 St. Georges Place, Brighton. Running from 20th – 29th March 2020. The gallery is open Mon – Sat 12-6.00pm and Sun 12 – 4.00pm.

Jo will also be available, with prior notice, for groups wishing to know more about the concepts and ideas behind the project.
