- Really beautiful photos and explanations
- It was outside and easily accessible
- It made me laugh, reflect. and it also taught me
- The fact that someone finally cares about people’s mental health…
- The variety of photos
- The ability of the artist to be able to express themselves in an authentic way that aligns with their positive message that raises awareness of mental health
- Stunning visual display
- Great provocative mix of work
- The abyss
- The images and bio of artists
- Insight into why the pictures were taking.
- Staying afloat was a great piece that related to me
- I enjoyed the break away from the surroundings of the beach and bustle of crowd
- Different perspectives and clever creations
- The photos felt real and true
- Very creative and interesting ways of expressing mental states or illnesses
- Variety of images indicated – shows how varied the topic is. Quality of staging. Just the idea of doing it at all.
- Lovely photos and the shore location is perfect.
- The lay out, the ability to have your own perception without prompt
- Some amazing photography- very emotive.
- Great photographs
- Most inspired outreach initiative I have ever seen! It offers each person the tools to engage at their own pace and to the extent they desire. I really enjoyed the photos. In particular, how they highlight the individuality of mental health, going beyond clinical definitions and into a very personal space. I already think quite a bit about the brain but this exhibition offered me a different perspective, very grateful to the artists and the organizers.
- Variety and everyone could recognize an emotion with them
- The versatility and creativity of the work and the optimism. It is not made out of frustration.
- Creativity and inspiration
- I loved the atmosphere there, the photos really inspired me and left some emotion in me.
- Great photos, interesting venue

- I think it is random it was a perfect day I was nostalgic the sun was out I was in the perfect state of mind to appreciate it !!! I actually loved it !
- Some amazing photographs but lived the explanations behind them
- I thought every photo was both beautiful and thought-provoking
- Great Photography
- The variety of images and how people interpreted the theme
- The concept, but also some (most) of the photographs were thought provoking
- A nice eclectic and impromptu display of decent art work.
- Contrast of different perspectives on mental health and the outdoor setting with the sun shining today!
- The broad and vast expression of mental health.
- From far they just looked like photos, but when we came to look at them they all had a certain depth that was relatable
- Very thought provoking
- The focus on mental health and the variety of interpretations around how mental health feels, what helps people with their mental health, what’s important – each individual experience came through beautifully and the photographers are very talented. I also liked that the exhibition was somewhere unexpected, at the beach, and therefore might reach people who wouldn’t have attended an exhibition about mental health.
That it was on the beach and accessible to all. Allowed time to think and reflect in a beautiful setting - Wonderful photos – and all very different
- The range of interpretations of mental health
- I adored the way it was presented on physical columns in a circle on the beach
- The aspects of mental health that were both personal and universal
Q: Any other comments?
- It would have been helpful if the photographers description of their work was near to their picture. Liked that the exhibition was on the beach. Thought provoking and rather lovely. Thank you
- Beautiful. Bellissima

- In neurodivergence too this is great to see so people understand
- Great work! I am a neurosurgery doctor and my partner has an interest in psychiatry so we really enjoyed this exhibition.
- Is there a website about the art in Brighton?? If not it should be created or promoted further for tourists and other creatives to contact or even collaborate !
- Well done! Massively important subject
- Excellent explanatory info which expands my thinking and understanding
- What originally caught my eye was the interesting way in which the photographs are mounted. However. Neurodivergence is something that many of us suffer from, so I love the subject. We should do things this well in the US
- Extraordinary reflections – playful and reflective
- Loved it. Biomedical researcher from Texas and I loved it.
- I also liked Intercertitudinal
- I would have loved to take the images home as postcards!
- Thought the initiative was a great idea
- Great exhibition
- Absolute beautiful display of how mental health FEELS and ultimately is interpreted. Truly believe some of these would have made people truly realise how the output and expression of these things are different to how they’re received, and enable people to focus more on “how the other person is feeling” rather than “the words they used”
- Great to just come across this and open your mind to see things from a different perspective. Thank you
I’m a therapist with a mental health condition myself so I know quite a lot about individual experiences of mental health and mental health issues and this exhibition showed me aspects of mental health I’d never considered before. - Thank you all for sharing your experiences – beautiful work.
- Brilliant idea to exhibit on the beach. Very powerful collection and collaboration
- The photographers should all be very proud of these evocative and often moving photos. Thanks for putting this exhibition together
- Highlight of my evening, thank you.
