NMG Report – Welcome Evening

Great Start to NMG

The New Members Group held our Welcome evening on Thursday 1st Oct  and despite the new Zoom format we were joined by 15 new members – some of whom are completely new to the club and others who joined towards the end of last season. Everyone had been asked to submit 3 images to be used throughout the evening.

After being welcomed by Audrey  Marshall everyone had the opportunity of introducing themselves and briefly talking about one of their images.

There was a fantastic variety and quality of photos including Documentary, Wildlife, Landscape, Abstract and Portraiture.

Steve Boyle then discussed different aspects of photography using a selection of the images as examples, in a very informative and  entertaining way.  The evening was then concluded with a great video that Jo Teasdale had put together of all the submitted images.

To conclude we discussed the feasibility of a  New Members Group photo walk on Sat 17th October which  was considered a great idea and details will be finalized soon.
